Infrastructure is Not One-off
Infrastructure assets has a lifecycle, and we have deep experience in developing and regulating infrastructure assets throughout its lifecycle. Notablly, our capabilities spans across the entire lifecycle. With this, we can categorise our experiences into 4 broad stages.
1
FEASIBILITY EVALUATION
When investors develop greenfield infrastructure projects, they inevitably arrive at the pivotal question:
Is this project feasible?
At Simplexify, we help clients evaluate the financial feasibility of the projects prior to further development and investment. We do this from financial, commercial and risk angles. At the same time, we are cognizant of the technical constraints and legal considerations. This approach ensures that our clients’ projects will be viable investments.
2
TRANSACTION ADVISORY
Infrastructure project investors seeking to bid for a project will want to win the rights to build, own and/or operate the asset. At the same time, Project Grantors want a capable, reliable partner that they can work with.
We assist either the bidders or project grantors to navigate through the competitive transaction. This extracts the best value (not just financial value) for both the project grantors and the bidders. We ensure that the project becomes a true partnership of both parties.
3
INFRASTRUCTURE FINANCING
Large-scale projects require a mix of both equity and debt financing. This stage is where cash needs to be raised to fund the development and construction of the asset.
We help our clients identify, structure, and secure financing deals that meet their needs and the project’s characteristics. These financing may be in the form of non-recourse project financing, various forms of senior and junior debts, and equity.
4
REGULATORY
ADVISORY
Once the infrastructure asset is in operation, regulations are critical. Efficient regulations will ensure the technical requirements are achieved, the pricing is fair and there is equitable access to all. At the same time, it ensures the owners or operators are compensated fairly.
We help regulators develop, fine-tune and implement new regulatory framework, particularly on the commercial aspects.
